The = fair is the unspeakeable (collectors, hangers on) in pursuit of the = inedible (lots of bad paintings and dull photos). Occasionaly something = jumps out from the morass of bog standard contemporary artifice, a few = Andy Warhol drawings of cats, an Albert Oehlen painting, a little = Matisse. It's dazzling the difference between what is good and all the = rest. Makes you wonder whether those old buffs were right about their = value hierarchies. Now the only diffentiation is between the various = repulsive levels of personal success and respect to be obtained: vips, = super vips, gallerists, celebs, important people, famous artists, those = with special passes, those that shall not queue, those that walk along = thinking others will move out their way, humble uninvited people who = wait outside for reentry tickets to be discarded, the beautiful, the = ugly, the rich, and the poor (not just artists).=20 That's the fun of this glorious bright yellow fair in the greeen cold = treey park. It's a spectacle of society, and not for seekers of = metaphysical greatness or sympathetic humans. All around me I hear people grumbling about the cold, = the grey rain and early nightfalls. I like winter. It's a cosy time of = year. There is something comforting about wrapping up snugly but feeling = the bitter cold bite your nose. Nighttime becomes magical and exciting = in the city. I work in an enormous, indoor rabbit hutch with thousands = of other office rabbits. At the end of the day, most of them scurry out = into the night to head to their domestic hutches as quickly as possible. = So afraid are they of the cold monster that they forget to pause to = marvel at the trees shimmering in the night light or to feel the warmth = generated by the buzz of the city. And if you're lucky enough to be near = the sea, why not be seadaring and eat your fish and chips on the pebbly = beach under the blanket of stars? Review

Winter is falling. All around me I hear people grumbling about the = cold, the=20 grey rain and early nightfalls. I like winter. It's a cosy time of year. = There=20 is something comforting about wrapping up snugly but feeling the bitter = cold=20 bite your nose. Nighttime becomes magical and exciting in the city. I = work in an=20 enormous, indoor rabbit hutch with thousands of other office rabbits.
