Damien Hirst at white cube gallery London
Hirst has drawn the crowds to his side show, at the carnival that London =
has become. The whole is shoddy, the cows heads blow bubbles, the =
butterflies look like they were stuck down with pritt-stick. There's no =
metaphysical effect and the schtick doesn't have much bang. Better =
Blaine: a true prophet, and wait till you see his paintings.

Arnold Schwarzenegger: Governor of California
The big smile and the slick apology may save him from groping =
allegations. I heard some radio pundit woman say that it was no big =
deal, that a bit of fondling was no reason to not vote for him, that it =
was the usual type of election smear ( Clinton etc). But given that his =
only qualification for the post is his character, a moviestar one or =
not, then judgment (Day) is right to be passed on how he has behaved in =
the past, for what we do is what we are. Even in a post-politically =
correct age, abusing the power fame gives you, to touch people who don't =
want you to touch them, (imagine if he had touched children =
inappropriately, or men), must be seen as a good reason not to give =
more power to Arnold's hands.
